In the case of a change of residence, the district requires the submission of a new PROOF OF RESIDENCY.

EMERGENCY BUS CHANGE REQUESTS

Emergency situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the building principal. 

An emergency is defined as: a serious situation or occurrence that happens unexpectedly and demands immediate action. 

*Emergencies situations should be resolved within a timeframe of 1-2 days, ensuring a prompt return to regularly scheduled transportation assignments thereafter.

TEMPORARY BUS CHANGE REQUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED

The Tri-Valley School District does NOT accept temporary bus change requests. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to make appropriate arrangements for their children in the event the need arises. 


Bus changes will ONLY be approved for the following reasons:

a. Change of residence requires proof of residency;

b. Change of permanent sitter (permanent is a duration of one (1) month or longer);

c. Emergency situations as listed above.

Transportation arrangements ensuring efficient commuting to and from school are meticulously organized for all students. Student assignments for transportation are allocated according to their primary residence or established childcare arrangements.

In instances where a student requires transportation to an alternate childcare address beyond their primary residence, and that alternate address is not covered by standard bus routes, it becomes the responsibility of the parent or guardian to make suitable transportation arrangements for their child.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Please note: Any requests for bus changes must be accompanied by a TRANSPORTATION CHANGE REQUEST FORM and submitted to rms@tvdawgs.net. Requests submitted after the 6/30/25 deadline may not be accepted until after the conclusion of the first two (2) full weeks of the 2025/26 school year.
