School Board Vacancy - Region 3
A vacancy is known to exist in the position of Board of School Director of the Tri-Valley School District Hegins Township West – Region 3 (area west of Division Street to the Hubley Township line). In accordance with the School Laws of Pennsylvania, the remaining members of the Board intend to fill the vacancy at the next meeting scheduled on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The individual appointed will serve until the first Monday of December 2027.
In addition to the residency requirements, Section 322 of the Public School Code of 1949 as amended limits eligibility to: “Any citizen of this Commonwealth, having a good moral character, being eighteen (18) years of age or upwards, and having been a resident of the district for at least one (1) year prior to the date of his election or appointment”. There are further limitations relating to those who hold certain offices or positions in various municipalities or in the School District.
Eligible individuals interested in being considered for the vacant office should submit an application showing related experience and statement of financial interest by noon on Friday, January 9, 2026, attention Superintendent’s Office, Tri-Valley School District, 110 W.
